MechaTronix was established in 2007, consisting of five previously successful manufacturing companies, each boasting over a decade of uninterrupted operation. The company offers a diverse range of mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies tailored for the international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) market.
In its early days, MechaTronix initiated its operations by producing metal and plastic enclosures for electronic applications, as well as assembling semi-finished products and intricate cables. The company employed various manufacturing techniques, including die casting, forging, extrusion, and plastic injection.
By incorporating secondary processes like CNC grinding, cutting, and finishing, such as anodizing, painting, and silk screen printing, MechaTronix achieved a high level of customization and personalization for its customers. This expertise allowed MechaTronix to establish itself as a formidable player in the heat sinks and cooling engines market. What began as an experimental foray into extruding aluminum heat sinks eventually evolved into a comprehensive suite of cooling solutions tailored for the thriving global LED market.
In 2016, MechaTronix further enhanced its knowledge base through the acquisition of Cooling House, situated in Taipei Wugu. This advanced design and development center specializes in advanced thermal management, extending well beyond LED cooling, encompassing heat exchangers for data centers, renewable energy applications, and high-power conversions.
This expansion also opened up new avenues for LED cooling activities, introducing technologies such as heat pipes and loop thermosyphons.
As a result, in 2017, MechaTronix embarked on its second core mission – the design, development, and manufacturing of LED grow lights suitable for a wide range of horticultural applications.
Recognizing the growing demand for PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) values among growers, akin to the evolution seen in SON-T HPS grow lamps, MechaTronix emphasized the critical importance of thermal management in LED grow lights for the longevity of high-power LED applications. From this perspective, MechaTronix commenced the development of complete LED grow light concepts, focusing on prolonged lifetime, high PPF (Photosynthetic Photon Flux) values from a single luminaire, superior light distribution, and canopy penetration.
In early 2018, MechaTronix introduced its first horticultural LED top lights to the market, marking the inception of a dedicated team dedicated to the future of LED grow light solutions.
